Drones are not new for the military and paramilitary across the world. The global military Drones have been in use since the late 70s and constitute to more than 70% of the global drone market share. Countries around the world are seeking drones than can replace their pilots during emergencies and war like situations. Drones in the military also reduce risk of damage to personnel and property. The last decade has seen a tremendous change in uses of Drones from the large sized fixedwing Drones to small and nano sized Drones in the military.
Our Johnnette JF3 has been in use by one of the Paramilitary forces in India since 2018 and has been playing a crucial role in their operations for surveillance and protect the mainland at the borders. Johnnette JF3 is ultralight and super fast that can solve all your long range surveillance needs.
What are Military Drones?
As per Wikipedia an unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), also known as a combat drone, is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that usually carries aircraft ordnance such as missiles, ATGMs, and/or bombs and is used for drone strikes. These drones are usually under real-time human control, with varying levels of autonomy. Aircraft of this type have no onboard human pilot. As the operator runs the vehicle from a remote terminal, equipment necessary for a human pilot is not needed, resulting in a lower weight and a smaller size than a manned aircraft. Many countries have operational domestic UCAVs and many more have imported armed drones or have development programs underway.
Johnnette Technologies was one of the very first Indian companies to supply military long range drones in small UAV category with the benefits of long range surveillance. We remain one of the only professional organisations who are able to provide Drone platforms at irresistible price meeting the international standards in the surveillance and military segment of the Drone industry in India.
Why use a drone in the Military and Paramilitary?
To the military, they are UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) or RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems). However, they are more commonly known as drones. Drones are used in situations where manned flight is considered too risky or difficult. They provide troops with a 24-hour "eye in the sky", seven days a week. Each aircraft can stay aloft for up to 17 hours at a time, loitering over an area and sending back real-time imagery of activities on the ground. Drones are seen by many in the military as delivering precision strikes without the need for more intrusive military action. However, they are not without controversy. These planes carry a wealth of sensors in their bulbous noses: colour and black-and-white TV cameras, image intensifiers, radar, infra-red imaging for low-light conditions and lasers for targeting. They can also be armed with laser-guided missiles. Although drones are unmanned, they are not unpiloted - trained crew at base steer the craft, analyse the images which the cameras send back and act on what they see.
Our drones can capture high definition video footage which provide a view from above without the cost of hiring a plane or helicopter. Drone surveillance is now more affordable than ever before especailly with our Johnnette JF3 fixedwing which comes with a long range surveillance capablility of more than 15km in a single flight. This Drone is also crash resistant and comes with a lifetime of more than 200 flight hours on a single platform that provides the user with live video.
How can Johnnette JF2 Drone help you carry out long range surveillance?
Johnnette JF2 is a multipurpose fixedwing Drone that can fly upto 60 minutes and cover a distance of 30km linearly in a single flight. JF2 is designed to be rugged and can be used in any terrain. The airframe is made up of expanded polypropylene which has higher elasticity and further reinforced with carbon fiber spars thereby enabling the airframe to take repeated impacts without any damage making it crash-resistant.
